Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer

Good hair, half the time.

Confession time: I am somewhat lazy when it comes to my hair and haven't always been keen to blowdry it even though I tend to have better hair on second and third days than if I just let it air dry. I have a lot of hair that doesn't like to dry quickly, so it tends to be such a chore.

But now, no longer. 

I had stopped into a Peninsula Beauty nearby to look around and saw the Redken Pillow Proof Blowdry Express Primer on the shelf for about $23. I'm a fan of Blowdry Secret, which is a similar product that isn't as easy to find in stores, and thought I'd give this one a try. Basically, it'll protect your hair from heat styling up to 450 degrees and helps cut down styling time by helping your hair dry faster. And it actually works!

When I use this product on towel dried hair about maybe ten to twenty minutes after washing my hair, it only takes at most five minutes to blow dry it. This process normally takes so, so much longer, and now it doesn't have to and I get out of the door and on my way to work faster.

It doesn't leave any odd film or crunchy feeling, doesn't seem to make my hair go extra oily like some styling products can after a day or so, and it really just does what it says on the tin. This primer spray is basically a lifesaver for my morning routine and one I'll happily purchase again if it means being able to wash and go in under thirty minutes with a somewhat decent blow out as far as my skills go. 

If you want to keep your hair protected from heat and cut down your styling time, I highly recommend this primer spray.
