Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream Review
/Is Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream Truly Perfect?
You know how everyone loves and raves about It Cosmetics CC Cream? I tried it, didn't like it, don't understand the hype. The Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream, however, did exactly what I wanted a CC Cream to do and did so beautifully.
It's pretty obvious by now I'm quite the fan of Bourjois base products. Healthy Mix is my holy grail foundation, I love the Healthy Balance pressed powder, and so I had high hopes for this CC cream, which I had heard some good things about when Lisa Eldridge used it in a video a while back.
The packaging claims it contains different color correcting properties to address different discoloration needs, and I can't say that I understand how it all works, but I can say it tackles my bits of redness brilliantly and even knocks back some of the darkness under my eyes well so I don't need as much concealer. It manages to do this while feeling light and not too much like it's sitting on my face.
The staying power is pretty good, considering foundations typically don't last on my skin very long, and this is what I find myself reaching for most days this month.
You can find this on ASOS for about $16, which isn't too terrible considering I find that it works better than the It Cosmetics one which costs over twice as much. I do wish it was more than SPF 15, but then again it's better to use a separate SPF in general from what I keep reading so perhaps it's only a minor quibble.
The real quibble is that the shade selection is only 4 shades, with no real selection for darker skin tones past "Bronze". This is an area in general where Bourjois does tend to fall flat and should really work on, expanding their color selection. Hopefully this is something they work on improving in the future, and maybe branching out into the US drugstore market if we're going to add to the wish list.
